Day 2. The Highlands.....

..........at last I get around to posting Day 2..... have had a little scottish 'bug' but all seems fine now. Can't keep good stock down for long hey!
...... a heavy frost greeted us as we left Crianlarich  early in the morning but the sun was clearly going to sun upon us once again....a quick stop at the popular Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum and then on through gorgeous scenery and into Orchy crossing the bridge and the poignant Munto Memorial Cairn, then into Glen Coe country ( I call it the Glen Coe Pass because that's what it is I reckon!) Down from the pass and we follow Loch Linnhe into Fort William. A little too early to book into our accommodation we head on to Glenfinnan which in one direction overlooks Loch Shiel which serves as a magnificent backdrop to the tall monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie and in the other direction is the magnificent backdrop of 'The Harry Potter' viaduct - I was sure I could hear the Hogwart's express coming. It was a stunning area and we gave it a good going over.  Back to lovely Fort William for the night at the Imperial Hotel.

enjoy what we saw and it would be a miracle if I didn't have some of the photos out of their correct order!

a frosty morning start!

......waiting for the Hogwart's express!

............. still waiting

it didn't come so we thought we'd go down and explore underneath it!

...... and off to cross the road to visit the monument facing Loch Shiel

and back to Fort William

stay tuned for Day 3!  ------- working on it!
