Betws y coed, Snowdonia National Park Wales and a live show!

My solo journey to Betws-y-coed went without too much drama (I'm too embarrassed to tell you how I could have so easily missed a simple connection train at LLandudno Junction) Betws-y-coed is the prettiest village at the start of the Snowdonia National Park. The next day a stunning drive through the Peny-y Pass for the mountain village of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon, of which I managed to climb approximately 300 metres. There was lots to explore around the mountain village which was a godsend as the tram climbing to the summit of Mount Snowden was completely sold out. Enjoy the pics. I so wished blogger would quit mixing my photos up - its annoying that they are not always in the correct order.

Betws y coed: My old world accommodation and around the village....stunning.

....on the way in the train, stunning scenery on the way

....Betws y Coed's gorgeous train station

the gorgeous colours of summer blooms holds on whilst the subtle colours of autumn emerge

.... fuschias to die for - everywhere! huge bushes, small bushes...reds, pinks galore

.... beautiful Swallow Falls, impossible for photos to do justice to its magnificence

...leaving Betws y coed and heading up to Llanberis (bottom of Mount Snowdon)

....this is as far as I was able to climb.....

.... can you pick out where the mirror image starts? amazing reflection

(Wed) What a wonderful afternoon attending an Agatha Christie Miss Marple play 'A Murder is Announced' at the Cymru Theatre complex down the coast a short way at Llandudno. Took a couple of photos from the upper floor of the complex during intermission overlooking the stunning sea front at Llandudno - needs a sunny day to explore more thoroughly. Anyhow back to the play - for all of you ABC Doc Martin fans, the lady who played Miss Marple is the actress who played Louisa's re-haired crazy mother! She was superb! as was all the cast. What an absolutely delightful afternoon.
