Bodnant Garden ~ a wonder of Wales

Bodnant Garden (owned by the National Trust) I assume that the estate house is inhabited privately. 80 stunning acres of Italianate formal gardens, glades, woodland and meadows, a dell and various water gardens. And all of this greeted us with a good flush of autumn colour with the bonus that some plants are still in bloom!
I surprised myself with not only how many plants I recognised but could name!

... Enjoy the pics and the notations!

...lets throw in a taste of autumn

...and down to the Italianate formal gardens

...and the beautiful estate house

...how about a break and take a look at the old heritage tea roses still in bloom
... oh dear I'm a little out of sync now so just enjoy these magnificent gardens - there were some steep parts!

...at some stage about here we paused for a pit stop and a quick cuppa at the Old Mill

I've enjoyed every single minute of Bodnant Garden. Stunning!
