DAY 2, Shropshire England

..arriving the Tudor Town of Shrewsbury (where I mentioned gr gr gr grandfather most likely enjoyed the establishments) we parked up and walked by the River Severn so I could play with autumn leaves.
I was terribly disappointed with my photos of Shrewsbury - the day was dull, overcast and exactly the worst kind of light for great photos. The ones I took, which were many do not reflect the magnificent of this Tudor Town with its medieval centre and victorian influence.

...Shrewsbury has been voted both the healthiest high street and the second happiest place to live in the UK!  I can add my vote..... love Shrewsbury!! I also reckon I saw some VERY old establishments which well may have seen my gr gr gr grandfather Hughes imbibing at.

...reluctantly leaving gorgeous Shrewsbury behind and headed off into the rain and on to the Ironwork Centre which we glimpsed the day before and it looked extraordinary - and it was.
...it is reminiscent of a wildlife park which you can drive through - amazing ironwork art!!

... the weather wasn't suitable for walking the park but we enjoyed a wonderful drive-through
... this is my favourite

... from the Ironwork Centre set off for Chirk Aque & Viaduct side by side, Chirk tunnel and Chirk Castle....we got a little lost but eventually found the area

... that was fabulous having an aque and via duct together! but its a baby and not scary like the Pontcysyllte aqueduct!!

... let's see how good the Chirk Castle is
......not too shabby - high on its hilly mound overlooking the town of Chirk

...stunning estate with a road that takes you through and back to the entry gates

...leaving Chirk behind we pass gorgeous scenery and back over the Horseshoe Pass for Colwyn Bay Wales

...with a quick stop at Horseshoe Falls, the light was all but gone
 THE END
